Author Recommendations

I think that everyone has a few authors that they completely trust. I know I do, these are the authors who I will blindly purchase their book, simply knowing that I do not already have it in my collection. These are the authors that I can recommend to anyone and know that they will fall in love with their work. Or so I hope. I do not add to this lightly, and if I am ever disappointed maybe I will remove them from this list. (Maybe/maybe not). I appreciate the time and energy that they put into their work. The results never cease to amaze. They are not listed in any particular order.

Ted Dekker
Frank Peretti
Darby Karchut
Kelley Armstrong
Robert Liparulo
Stephen Lawhead
Nancy Holder
Steven James
Kevin Hearne
Lisa McMann
Orson Scott Card
Ray Bradbury
Octavia Butler
J. Gabriel Gates & Charlene Keel
Tim Downs
Vicki Pettersson
Nnedi Okorafor
N.K. Jemisin
Patricia Briggs
All of these authors are ones that I have enjoyed reading consistently. Authors that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone, as I stated before. But there are a few that stand out even more from this list. Authors that are of an elite caliber. These authors are ones that I wait anxiously for the next book, and regardless of what I am doing when I get my hands on their books they get my undivided uninterrupted attention. I call them my D.E.A.R. authors, my D.rop E.verything A.nd R.ead authors. This list is shorter, and while I have a lot of favorites, I have few D.E.A.R.s.
D.E.A.R.
Octavia Butler (yes I know that she is deceased, but she still deserves this honor since she is one of the few authors who I have over three times).
Darby Karchut
Kevin Hearne
Frank Perretti
Vicki Pettersson
Kelley Armstrong
